New Markets Tax Credits
ECB secured $39.5 Million in New Markets Tax Credit Allocation for the new construction of a 3-story 46,500sf center providing supportive services for the homeless and near homeless, a medical respite for homeless and a Federally Qualified Health Center in downtown Santa Rosa, CA.
In addition to New Markets Tax Credits the project was financed through a capital campaign by project sponsor, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Santa Rosa (CCDSR) and loans from Poppy Bank and Exchange Bank.
NMTC closing occurred in June 2021 and construction will be completed in 2022.
The new Caritas Center will expand the number of clients served from 1,500 to 4,000 annually and provide services through its Family Support Center and Head Start Program, Navigation Center and Transitional Job Program for homeless individuals, health center and medical respite for homeless individuals to continue recovering after they are discharged from the hospital.
