447 Minna Street

Project Description

ECB was the New Markets Tax Credit financing consultant for the renovation of the historic Dempster Building at 447 Minna Street.

Spearheaded by project sponsor, Community Arts Stabilization Trust (CAST), the project transformed a 4-story 10,000 sf building into a dynamic space for below market rental space for Bay Area Arts organizations. CAST’s mission is to ensure space that is high-quality and priced below market rates so that arts and culture nonprofit

organizations can continue to thrive, promote, and represent the richness of San Francisco's communities.

ECB Secured $8 million in NMTC allocation to rehabilitate this historic building.  Additional funding was provided by CAST, city grant and a loan from Community Vision to complete this project. 

NMTC closing occurred in January 2020.
